Saffyre Sanctuary is thrilled to announce that as part of our 2022 year-end fundraising efforts, we are participating in Race for the Rescues!
Race For The Rescues believes that by uniting animal lovers and animal welfare organizations to work together, we can change those heartbreaking statistics and make our world a better place. The donations raised through Race For The Rescues will be used to help save the lives of once forgotten dogs, cats and horses, and help them become cherished family members. Saffyre Sanctuary is happy to announce that we are relocating to Bitrwick Park Equestrian Center, where the needs of our horses, and the standard of excellent equine care is aligned with our mission and vision. We are thrilled to be able to expand our capacity, and increase our abundance as this new chapter unfolds in our journey! All of our activities and programs will remain in place, and we look forward to seeing you at our new home!

Small & Gutsy Interviews Saffyre Sanctuary - The horse spirit animal represents freedom, adventurousness, mobility, independence, friendship and endurance. This majestic animal known for its beauty and stature has also endured pain, neglect and abuse through domestication and mistreatment for use in gambling, entertainment and sometimes, just pure gluttony. Esta Bernstein is the Founder of Saffyre Sanctuary, a horse rescue and rehabilitation program in the Los Angeles area that cares for horses that have been abandoned, abused, or neglected. They provide every opportunity for them to experience the possibility of enjoying a second career, or offer them a well-deserved retirement.

Esta conducted a nutrition clinic entitled Equine Nutrition, Your Horse, and You, at Cedar Creek Stables in Brentwood, California. During this event she shared her 25 years of equine nutritional expertise that we utilize with all our horses at Saffyre Sanctuary. This mind-opening event provided the clients with a diet regime, communication and healing session with each of the horses participating in the clinic. They are forever changed in a very positive way, moving forward in health and happiness. Joan Ranquet generously offered her time and expertise to hold an animal communication class at Saffyre Sanctuary! Joan spoke to a full house as we all enjoyed her wisdom through her lecture, telepathic games, and remote communications. Karen Parks coordinated our first ever Holiday Pop Up! This event had over 20 vendors selling specialty goods and services representing the spirit and modalities that Saffyre Sanctuary embraces! This free outdoor event, with lots of holiday fare offered Jewelry, PJs, Organic Scarfs for Dogs, Pottery, Original Art, Reiki, Tarot & Astrology Reads, Animal Communication, Organic Skin Care, CBD Products for your Pet, Live Music & Vegan Food. Changing Horses Workshop - During this exciting event, we nearly completed the filming of our documentary (we have a few more interviews to do!) and those who participated became a huge part of the change! Saffyre Sanctuary, in cooperation with Horse Medicine of the Netherlands, held our first workshop event accompanying our documentary "CHANGING HORSES". This 2-day event included 5 well known and respected horsecoaches from the U.S. and Canada, and 2 Dutch hostcoaches. This one of a kind event will now be held in various locations throughout the world. Stay tuned for our next event to be held at Saffyre Sanctuary, February 27th - 28th! Filming for the documentary will continue during this workshop!
